The Barber Shop
If you are in Berlin today, go to Freundschaftsplatz (Neukölln) between 4—9pm, bring some halloumi cheese to be grilled and listen to the sounds I put together for The Barber Shop‘s tent.

When Fellini made his movie 8 ½ in 1962, Eugene Walter recalled Fellini taking “a little piece of brown paper tape” and sticking it near the viewfinder of the camera. Written on it was Ricordati che è un film comico (“Remember that this is a comic film”). As the protagonist Guido struggles half-heartedly to work on the film, a series of flashbacks and dreams dwell into his memories and fantasies.

This is part of our mission as well, to experiment and have fun, but also, the term Biennale has come to need a massage to feel it has muscles besides its bones. So, we start small and our happening will be some sort of a kick-off for the next year when we, hopefully, will manage to put up something a bit bigger and more organized. For now, let’s gather for grilling, drinks, ping-pong and sculpture.

It starts at 16 and goes on until 21, bring yourself, food and something to drink. We have a grill.
